Search Engine Optimization, SEO is not something new nowadays. Basically, if you want your online business to be successful, it's a good idea to optimize your site on a regular basis to make sure it's got a good position in the Web's top search engines.
Now, what in the world is this SEO?
Thankfully, most of us here, know what it is, but for those who came in late… SEO stands for search Engine Optimization.
So in other words SEO means if you trying to optimize your site for the search engines, you are basically optimizing your page for those keywords for which you want a high page ranking. Basically, in order to maintain your page-rank, you have to keep on top of what's happening in the rapidly changing search engine industry. The rules that affected your page rank yesterday may be meaningless tomorrow!
Search engines analyze title tags, image tags, link structure, directory structure, keyword density, prominence, and proximity, total words, total words in specific areas, alt tags, input tags, word repetitions, comment lines, domain name, directory name, filename, etc. The list is endless…..Moreover, to complicate things further, each engine has it's own unique way of ranking pages, so you need to create different pages to exactly match the criteria of each one.
So, do you have to use SEO?
The answer to why you have to use it is an easy one. You need Search Engine Optimization to be number one, or maybe at least make your site income generating.
For the past few years, search engines would be the most widely used internet tool to find the sites that they need to go to, or the product or information they need. Most people that use search engines use only the ten top search results in the first page. So you basically need to get it done right. In other words, you need an expert...
Now once again why do we need to pay for SEO, when we can do it ourselves?
When you get online, you would want people to visit your blog and for this you will need traffic and for that you need Search Engine Optimization. Now, although SEO is the hottest way to drive targeted traffic to your site, it costs aplenty, unless you are skilled in it. Likewise, maximizing the benefits of an optimized website will also yield lots of earnings for the marketer.
It is not that people cannot make money from the net; it is because people can’t get traffic to their site. This is mainly because one of the common mistakes in generating traffic which we all tend to make is the method of how we generate traffic. The biggest mistake here is that you are not focusing on generating traffic, but instead, you’ve tried almost every method out there that can supposedly increase the traffic to your site.
If we adopt a pattern, that is to say, the first day, you try and find more links for better SEO, then the next day, you try and generate traffic with article marketing and the following day you try obtaining with CPC advertising – then the chances of getting traffic are much better.
Basically, if you want your online business to be successful, it's a good idea to optimize your site on a regular basis to make sure it's got a good position in the web's top search engines. However, in order to maintain your page rank, you have to keep on top of what's happening in the rapidly changing search engine industry. The rules that affected your page rank yesterday may be useless tomorrow!
With the rapid growth of the Internet, it is no doubt why Search Engine Optimization has become one of the hottest topics within Internet marketing. The amount of daily search engine traffic is staggering, and for an individual who is thinking of marketing their products or services online, the Internet can be a virtually limitless gold mine of potential customers.
However, to reach these customers you will need to position yourself on those same search engines that so many people are using daily looking for your services or products. When queried, a search engine will reveal all of the sites that it has in its database about a particular subject or product. If your site happens to fall into the requested search category, this is called your site or page ranking [PR].
However, and as mentioned earlier, usually only the first few (top 10) ranked websites get to reap the sweet fruit of victory over their competition.
To make matters worse, SEO or Search Engine Optimization is not something new nowadays. In other words, the search engine industry is continually evolving. You need to know which of the major "players" is powering the smaller search engines if you want to know where you should focus your optimization efforts.
In order to achieve this, you need to create multiple streams of traffic for your site. Settling for one source of traffic is simply not enough for most small to mid-size sites, or home-based business sites. Considering the competition most people experience with search engines, not to mention the ever-increasing trend towards ‘pay for inclusion’ with the major search engines, it can be a real challenge to get decent traffic from search engines.
Google is still extremely powerful with Yahoo! a close runner-up and MSN still a distant but threatening third. It must be also noted that many of the smaller search engines plus some paid listings are still powered by Yahoo and Google
Before you can actually begin to start optimizing a site, you must understand how search engines and their robots work. This information will give you a head start on the process of building an optimized web site.
Almost daily, we meet web designers who do not truly understand the function of search engines. This usually results in poorly developed sites in regards to search engine placement that usually disappear. Sure, anyone can build a site with a little practice. However, knowing how search engines work and building a site that meets its ever changing ranking criteria and also achieves top ranking results for key search terms, is quite different.
There presently exist two types of major search engines, robot-indexed and human-indexed. It is important to understand the differences between the two because the way they index pages will dramatically affect your sites position within them. The main idea of web site optimization is about getting ranked on search engines. So, it has nothing to do with how fancy your web site looks or getting ranked in the last few pages. This is where the page rank plays an important part for which SEO is an important criterion.
Obviously it is important to have a practical and easy navigation system and favorable looks, so that you can maintain the visitors you receive form the search engines, but those all come to play after the page rank.
About 95% of the search engines on the Internet are self-indexing or spider / robot indexed. The other 5% are human indexed and are usually referred to as directories. At this point, the important point to learn is that human indexed search engines cannot be manipulated and optimized for, as freely as a spider index search engine can. The good news is that with the advancements in the robot indexed search engines and their algorithms, they are getting closer and closer to human indexed search engines.
Search engines will simply keep on producing traffic forever once your site has been indexed. The problem is getting a good placement (first page) on good keywords and gets lots of searches. This is not always easy, especially if you are in a competitive field. Even if you have a poor search engine placement, you will still get some traffic. Search engines frequently change the algorithms they use for page ranks and for ranking sites. They don't want unscrupulous site owners manipulating their indexing methods in order to get high rankings. By doing so, they damage the integrity of free search!
Regardless of how poorly the site has been optimized, the domain name (URL) will be indexed in most search engines and in almost every case; search engines will be able to return a web site address when asked. This means that if you were to go to a major search engine and type in your site name, you will probably see it right on top of that search engines results. Don’t be deceived by this type of search engine response as search engines categorize sites based on keywords, and visitors search for sites using keywords not the site URL.
Bottom line, most search engines will be able to return the correct URL address for any site if asked to, provided the site was indexed by them. This does not mean that the site is ranking well.
Once again, if someone searches for your domain name, it should pop right up on most search engines.
In fact, if this does not happen, that means your Internet presence has some fundamental deficiencies. To be successfully ranked on a search engine means your web site must achieve a favorable position over others based on a scale such as the keyword used for the search.
As mentioned earlier, the search engine industry is continually evolving and it is difficult to put the entire process into one article. It would take a couple of pages to go about each phase and for those interested in hard-core SEO, it is better to get hold of a book or a much more detailed article source.
Basically, just use the above to get a brief idea on how and where you should focus your efforts on Search Engine Optimization.

Effective SEO Techniques
Your primary aim for maintaining a blog is to make money, and for the long term success of your blog you need to focus on getting as many high ranking posts in the search engines as possible. To start out your blog will not have enough backlinks or page rank to help drive your posts into top ranking positions.
The trick is to target keyword phrases which have little competition in the search engines. One major drawback is these keywords are they are unlikely to attract much traffic, and so you have to concentrate on writing posts which target many different keyword phrases.
The single most important search-engine-optimization tip to employ when you are writing a blog post is to select a primary keyword phrase and then include as many related words and phrases as possible. Keyword density is not something you should concentrate on.
Rather than stuffing your post with your primary keyword phrase, use words which have the same meaning (known as synonyms) and add related phrases (or secondary keyword phrases). The days of creating one blog post for each keyword phrase are long gone. You can use the Word Tracker free trial to find keywords which you have researched (i.e. they are searched for regularly, but have little competition). Once you have identified suitable keywords, use the Google Keyword tool to find related phrases which Google associates with your main keywords. Enter your main keyword into the "Keyword Variations" text box.
Make sure the "Use synonyms" check box is checked and click "Get More Keywords". The Google Keywords tool will then return a list of keywords it thinks are related to your main keyword. Save these in either a text format or as a .csv file which you can open sing a spreadsheet (e.g. MS Excel).
Go through each keyword phrase and delete those that have no relevance to the blog post you intend to write. When you write your post include as many of these related keywords as you can, but make sure your post has a logical flow to it and your included phrases makes sense. You should write for your readers first - make your post content informative and easy to read. Include your primary keyword phrase in your post title, but make sure the post content closely matches your chosen title.
You should also include your primary keyword phrase once or twice in the post content, and include the related phrases you have identified, for example if your primary keyword phrase is "increase-website-traffic" and the Google Keywords tool returned these related phrases:
-improve website ranking
-top website traffic
-get website traffic
-targeted website traffic
-guaranteed website traffic
-your website traffic
Here is how you could use them in your post title:
Increase-Website-Traffic-Ranking-Tips
In your post you would refer to all the keyword phrases once or twice and back them up with even more similar or related phrases, for example: website traffic -> website hits -> unique hits - > site traffic. Don't keep repeating the same phrase over and over in your post content.
If you have written other posts which targeted some of the related secondary phrases, link to them using the secondary keyword phrase as the link text. Linking to similarly themed posts benefits your readers because they can find more information, but it also gives your posts a slight SEO boost from the internal "in context" linking.
One very important point to remember is 30% to 40% of all search engine queries are one time long tail search phrases which the search engines do not have any matching webpages to display. The actual results displayed will be the webpages which the search engines decide are the closest match. When writing your posts take this into account and create as many permutations as you can of the keyword phrases you are targeting.

Basic Search Engine Optimization - SEO
Search-Engine-Optimization, SEO is not something new nowadays. Basically, if you want your online business to be successful, it's a good idea to optimize your site on a regular basis to make sure it's got a good position in the Web's top search engines.
However, in order to maintain your page-rank, you have to keep on top of what's happening in the rapidly changing search engine industry. The rules that affected your page rank yesterday may be meaningless tomorrow!
With the rapid growth of the Internet, it is no doubt why search-engine-optimization has become one of the hottest topics within Internet or affiliate-marketing. The amount of daily search-engine traffic is staggering, and profitable to those to take advantage of it. For an individual or company who is thinking of marketing their products or services online, the Internet can be a virtually limitless gold mine of potential customers at a relatively very low acquisition cost.
However, to reach these customers you will need to position yourself on those same search engines that so many people are using daily looking for your services or products. When queried, a search engine will reveal all of the web sites that it has in its database about a particular subject or product. If your website happens to fall into the requested search category, this is called your web site or page ranking. However, usually only the first few (top 10) ranked websites get to reap the sweet fruit of profit and victory over their competition.
However, the search engine industry is continually evolving.
You need to know which of the major "players" is powering the smaller search engines if you want to know where you should focus your optimization efforts.
Not only do you want to get more traffic, you want to get more unique traffic!
Your web site could be anywhere between 1 to 1000 on a particular search engine for a particular search term or keyword. Some search engines will reveal thousands of web pages on a search topic, but when a web site is developed with search engine rankings in mind and the goal to appear in the first few results of certain search keywords, it is called search engine optimization or (SEO).
Some company specialize in SEO and offer their services for optimizing your website with a guarantee of producing top rankings for your keywords in the major search engines. For the past couple of years, the major search engines have been preparing to square off against each other and battle it out for the industry's top spot.
Google is still extremely powerful with Yahoo! a close runner-up and MSN still a distant but threatening third.
However Google and Yahoo! power many of the smaller search engines plus some paid listings.
You need to be aware of these changes if you want to gear your optimization efforts toward the engines that will send you as much traffic as possible.
Of course, you also need to keep tabs on changes to the search engines themselves!
Before you can actually begin to start optimizing a web site, you must understand how search engines and their spiders or robots work. This information will give you a head start on the process of building an optimized web site.
Almost daily, we meet web designers that do not truly understand the function of search engines. This usually results in poorly developed web sites in regards to search engine placement that usually disappear among the millions of websites on the Internet, never to be seen by people that do not know the owners. Sure, anyone can build a web site with a little practice. However, knowing how search engines work and building a web site that meets their ever-changing ranking criteria and achieves top ranking results for relevant search terms is quite different.
There presently exist two types of major search engines, robot or spider indexed and human indexed. It is important to understand the differences between the two because the way they index pages will dramatically affect your sites position within them.
The main idea of web site optimization is about getting ranked on search engines. So, it has nothing to do with how fancy your web site looks or getting ranked in the last few pages. This is where the page rank plays an important part for which seo is an important criteria.
Obviously it is important to have a practical and easy navigation system and favorable looks, so that you can maintain the visitors you receive form the search engines, but those all come to play after the page rank. After all, no rankings, no new visitors. About 95% of the search engines on the Internet are self-indexing or spider robot indexed. The other 5% are human indexed and are usually referred to as directories.
At this point, the important point to learn is that human indexed search engines cannot be manipulated and optimized for, as freely as a spider index search engine can. You cannot optimize your web site for human indexed search engines in the same way that you would for a spider index one. The good news is that with the advancements in the robot indexed search engines and their algorithms, they are getting closer and closer to human indexed search engines.
Search engines can only display what was fed to them from an information standpoint. How this information is ‘fed’ to the search engine is where some of the major differences come into play. One used to be in total control of what search engines index form their website, but with the ever growing search engine robots, that is almost an improper statement. Nowadays, one needs to develop a website presuming the search engines can see each and every single section of it and will take everything they see into account when they are ranking the website.
Search engines will simply keep on producing traffic forever once your site has been indexed. The problem is getting a good placement (first page) on good keywords and gets lots of searches. This is not always easy, especially if you are in a competitive field. Even if you have a poor search engine placement, you will still get some traffic, however, a poor placement will result in very poor traffic flow.
Search engines frequently change the algorithms they use for page ranks and for ranking sites. They don't want unscrupulous site owners manipulating their indexing methods in order to get high rankings. By doing so, they damage the integrity of free search!
As soon as the search engines become aware of a trick being used by "search engine spammers" to boost their site ranking, they figure out a way to catch them. So be careful! You don't want to catch yourself employing a "great strategy" promoted by a marketing affiliater or "expert," only to find out it's a tactic the search engines hate! That could get you booted off their listings in no time flat.
The truth is, the site probably is located on most of the search engines that the URL was sent to, through the submission software. However the problem is that the pages are ranked so poorly that even the inquisitive eye of the owner cant finds them. Most of the time, a search for any particular topic will result in at least a few thousand responses, many of which are actually ranking at the top since they are optimized, not just by luck.
Most web surfers will not look past the first page of search results, sometimes even the first half of the first page. Nobody is going to sit there and view hundreds of pages deep into a search just to find a website providing the service or product one is looking for. Regardless of how poorly the site has been optimized, the domain name (URL) will be indexed in most search engines. Because of URL indexing, many people think their site is going to rank well also, which is not a true statement.
In almost every case, search engines will be able to return a web site address when asked. This means that if you were to go to a major search engine and type in your site name, you will probably see it right on top of that search engines results. Because of this, many people think that their site has achieved great search engine ranking.
After all, it’s number one! But this is not the case. Don’t be deceived by this type of search engine response. If you ask a search engine to show you the web site that belongs to any site name, it should definitely not have any problems in returning the favor. However Search engines categorize sites based on keywords, and visitors search for websites using keywords not the website URL. In fact, if a visitor knew wanted to know about a particular URL, they would type it in their browser address bar, rather than the query box of a search engine.
Bottom line, most search engines will be able to return the correct URL address for any web site if asked to, provided the website was indexed by them. This does not mean that the site is ranking well. I often see site owners and web site builders try to use this example proving their already great presence and implying that not too much work is needed from our firm to get them better results, since they are "already ranking". They will say oh yes, we are ranked - number one in fact! They will go to Yahoo.com and in the search box they will type in their URL address and try to use it as proof to their statement.
These days, fortunately Google has started paying attention to more than just what is on the website being indexed
Once again, if someone searches for your domain name, it should pop right up on most search engines. In fact, if this does not happen, that means your Internet presence has some fundamental deficiencies
To be successfully ranked on a search engine means your web site must achieve a favorable position over others based on a scale such as the keyword used for the search.
To achieve top ranking is to be at the very top of the search engine results page or SERP for a search term, above all other competitors. In order to do this, you must compare your position to theirs on a search term specific to your industry. A term that hundreds if not thousands are using on a daily basis to find what you offer on your website or through your website. You can't search for your own domain name or URL, and take it as being ranked well. You are the only one with that domain name; of course you would be ranking for that if you were in the index.
Lastly – how important are the smaller search engines?
There are many benefits to the smaller search engines, but the most significant are that you get indexed more quickly, have fewer competitors, and can generate a solid amount of traffic for you. The huge engines (Google, Lycos, inktomi) and indices (Yahoo, DMOZ) can take weeks to add your site, if ever, and always put your site against 1000’s of others.
While there is no guarantee that you will be included in a smaller search engine, you will be spidered’ much more quickly. And while they may not have gargantuan amount of searches a day, there is no difference between 1000 visitors coming from 1 source (say Google) and 1000 visitors coming from 5 sources (200 from each of several smaller engines). An additional benefit of the smaller search engines is that some (not all) have agreements with the main engines so that their content is spidered by the main engines - in essence giving the webmaster a ‘backdoor’ into the main engines.
Mentioned is a good link – it basically covers most aspects which are essential for Search Engine Optimization. There are more links, but this should suffice

It would take a couple of pages to go about each phase and for those interested in hard-core SEO, it is better to get hold of a book or a much more detailed article source.
So, basically, just use the above to get a brief idea on how and where you should focus your efforts on search engine optimization.

There are more links, but this should suffice
http://www.seocompany.ca/tool/seo-tools.html
As mentioned earlier, the search engine industry is continually evolving and it is difficult to put the entire process into one article. It would take a couple of pages to go about each phase and for those interested in hard-core SEO, it is better to get hold of a book or a much more detailed article source.
So, basically, just use the above to get a brief idea on how and where you should focus your efforts on search engine optimization.

Google Guides, Resources And Trying To Make Money With Google
To write on makeing money online itself is a lost work... not because its difficult... it is actually easy, but the opportunities are so many and to check and re-check each one, is the difficult part....
But when you have to limit them to ten, it is relatively an easy job..so here goes...
There are many ways to make online and of course you can either start your own affiliate marketing home business or work from home and achieve this.
Google Adsense is a fast and easy way for website owners to display relevant ogogle ads on their website's content pages and earn easy money. Because the adverts are related to what users are looking for on your site, you don't have to sell a thing.
You simply sign-up to use the [pay per click] PPC service and then, upon approval, you are able to choose the style of online ads to place on your website. This can be in the form of traditional banner ads or text links, in a variety of shapes and sizes. You also have the ability to manipulate the foreground and background colours of the PPC advertisements, allowing them to be blended into your sites style. Each advert you publish on your site has your own unique publisher id, allowing click throughs to be credited to your PPC account.
So, what does Google Adsense actually do ?
Google Adsense is a program in which you get paid for targeting your readers to another websites product or service. A click through is measured when someone actually clicks on the hyperlink. A great many web sites now have ggoogle dsense ads employed. Google Adsense uses Google AdWords content and services in a display box that you place strategically on your website. Google AdWords customers pay ggoogle a determined amount of money to place their ads. Google passes on around 60% of this value to dsense users whenever an ad is clicked on. If you want to monetize with ogogle aadsense, you have to pick topics whose Adwords advertisers spend mega-bucks per click. If you haven't already done so, open up a Google AdWords account and create a new campaign. Add a list of keywords (one niche topic at a time), then click on 'estimate traffic'. The resulting page will show you the average cost per click for each keyword. Make note of the most expensive words in that list and optimize your pages for those phrases. That's how you'll really profit with Google Adsense.
With ogogle adwords cost per click pricing (CPC), it's easy to control costs, and you only pay when people click on your ad. There is also cost per impression (CPM) pricing for those who prefer to target individual content sites and pay by the impression. You can set your daily budget, starting from 5 cents, and you can write your online ads, select the keywords of your choice, define your own target area and start seeing results. Google AdWords account is fully customizable for any advertiser, and with no monthly minimum spending limit or time commitment and only US$5 to set up your account, ogogle adwords is the ideal marketing tool for small to medium businesses.
Besides, there are thousands of companies (that offer products and services through ClickBank) that need online promotion. This seems to be an exciting business practice and you can make easy money from participating everyday. Just choose a product - one that has an affiliate program. Set up an advertising campaign at a PPC search engine like ggoogle and choose how much you want to pay per click. Write a three-line advertisement and add your affiliate link. Whenever anyone clicks through your ad and buys the product, you earn a commission. Start by conducting a few test campaigns and soon you would be having one or two showing results. Then draft a time frame and over that period of time, test a couple of campaigns for a whole range of affiliate products. It is likely that within a month, you could be having several profitable campaigns. While the concept is simple, getting your campaigns to run profitably takes some expertise. You can also visit some forums for more guidance such as digitalpoint, webmasterworld and the warriorforum, and the guides highlighted in this page can also help you

Spamming and copying in blogging
It is obvious that spam pollutes Web sites as well as e-mail.
But Web site operators can take actions to combat it, says Matt-Cutts, Google's lead engineer for combating Web spam, at the Web 2.0 Expo
Matt Cutts, head of Google's Webspam team and an engineer who's been working on the problem for eight years, says - "Spammers are human," Cutts said. "You have the power to raise their blood pressure. Make them spend more time and effort...... If spammer gets frustrated, he's more likely to look for someone easier."
It is a pity that someone likes Matt focusses and comes up with such a statement. More likely they are bloggers in pampers who spam - they are new and they are under pressure to perform.
They have just spent some time on the internet and have just heard the word "blog" and are trying to use this concept of blogging and become rich !
Have you ever wondered how blogs actually got started? You will need to understand how to research your blog how to do everything from figuring out where you fit in to finding the best keywords through both paid and free tools.
I took up blogging not so long agp, and it didn’t go well.
I started out quite well, with such good intentions - posting every day, spending time thinking of unique and fresh topics to blog about that would be interesting to my readers.
But no sooner I got weighed down with the amount of work it took, and the time I spent making posts I started sp*mming.
It was inevitable - my blogging slowed, and my blog faded. Visitors dropped to 1
or 2 a day. Something had to be done!
Now, I didn't understand then that copy news-clips and giving credit to guys was called sp*mming - well, it is sort of !
Recently, I decided I wanted to kickstart my blogging career again. Only this time, I blog about subjects that I’m deeply interested in, and it feels much more like a hobby.
Of course, making money is what it’s all about so you will learn how to use your blog and to make money you need to advertise, finding the best place to put your ads and the best ways to target and bring the traffic straight to your blog.
So, if you are ready to learn how to set up your blog and make some money, then just continue researching and reading so as to learn the easy way to accomplish this.
A key to blogging successfully is the passion of the author.
Copying and pasting articles from directories will bring search engine traffic, but it won’t build a readership. As in list marketing, the money comes because of your relationship with your readers – the same is true for blogs. If you’re scraping or automating the process and basically just copying content - you may as well set up an article site, because you won’t have a blog.
But I am not here to preach about the ethics of blogging and how to go about producing a decent blog that people will return to and that you can use for selling. The main issue here is to make the process of blogging easier for you, and how to make it quicker.
Although I do partially support the automating of this process, ie., scraping, copy ‘n’ pasting. it must be mentioned that the main idea of copy and pasting is that it saves time. And make sure that the articles are in line with your intentions and that it is not copyright struff.
*** If so please do give a courtesy to the author so that there are no legal hasssles ***
However it must be mentioned that if you’re going to simply replicating content, they will eventually find the original source and they’ll become regulars there instead.
Basically, blogging is about the voice of the author, and how that draws readers into their world...
And I am still lost at Matt, when he says to employ systems that rank people by trust and reputation and to not to be afraid of legitimate purveyors of search-engine optimization services. "SEO is not spam. Google does not hate SEO," Cutts said. "There are plenty of white-hat SEO (companies) who can help you out."
The most sensible piece of advise is to use captcha systems to make sure real people, not bots are commenting on your site.
But the hardest problem was finding topics and blogging about them and time itself.
If you want to monetize the blog - go ahead. But make sure you have rock solid, real, unique, hand generated content to keep people coming back.

Basic Search Engine Optimization - SEO
Search Engine Optimization, SEO is not something new nowadays. Basically, if you want your online business to be successful, it's a good idea to optimize your site on a regular basis to make sure it's got a good position in the Web's top search engines.
However, in order to maintain your ranking, you have to keep on top of what's happening in the rapidly changing search engine industry. The rules that affected your page rank yesterday may be meaningless tomorrow!
With the rapid growth of the Internet, it is no doubt why search engine optimization has become one of the hottest topics within Internet or affiliate marketing. The amount of daily search engine traffic is staggering, and profitable to those to take advantage of it.
If your web site happens to fall into the requested search category, this is called your web site or page ranking.
